I led the Tourism Workforce Survey with the Palestine Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities during the COVID-19 crisis. The project was designed to help understand how the crisis was affecting tourism workers, businesses, and the sector’s readiness for recovery.

The digital survey assessed workforce concerns, fear levels, risk of skills drainage, digital capacity, and willingness to participate in upskilling programs. It created a practical evidence base for planning safer reopening, workforce engagement, and digital learning responses.

The findings helped inform follow-up initiatives, including COVID-19 guidance materials, the JAHZEEN Tourism LMS, and Training for Employment programs with targeted upskilling courses across the tourism value chain.

This case reflects my work in tourism market assessment, crisis recovery, and capacity-building design: using digital tools and sector data to support public-sector decision-making and practical workforce recovery programs.
