Introducing the innovative project “Car Rental Jerusalem,” a dynamic entrepreneurial solution addressing a significant obstacle to tourism development in Palestine. Recognizing that tourism traffic to Palestinian territories hinges on Israeli borders, travel routes, and service regulations, particularly with Jerusalem as a gateway, we identified a critical challenge. Independent travelers flying into Israel, eager for self-driven exploration with car rentals, faced a plethora of competitive offers from international brands upon arrival. The sole complexity was the prohibition of driving these rental cars into Palestinian territory, hindering the flow and growth of independent travel into Palestine.
Our solution materialized as a groundbreaking digital platform that presented a collective offer of special category car rentals, available in Israeli territories yet equipped with the necessary legal and insurance qualifications to drive into Palestinian territories. This exclusive offer comprised diverse models and car categories sourced from various independent Palestinian car rental service providers. The platform included a car browser and search module, an online booking engine and a deposit payment gateway.
As the pioneer and exclusive provider of such a booking service, our platform gained exponential success and popularity among Free Independent Travelers (FITs) eager to seamlessly explore the region on their terms. This initiative not only addressed a key barrier to independent travel but also contributed significantly to enhancing the overall tourism experience in Palestine.
