EJTDP Digitalization Support

Overview

The “EJTDP Digitalization Support” initiative stands as a comprehensive and impactful project where my role, spanning over a two-year period, involved providing more than 100 expert days of direct digitalization support to beneficiaries within the tourism industry. This initiative aimed at fostering the integration of digital tools and strategies across a spectrum of businesses, ranging from SMEs to established enterprises along the entire tourism value chain, including unions, associations, and startup initiatives.

The range of support provided during this project was diverse and tailored to the specific needs of each beneficiary. It included conducting thorough digital assessments, offering strategic advice on digitalization and social media strategies, crafting technical Terms of Reference (ToRs), and implementing practical solutions such as building web outlets and APIs. The digitalization support extended to installing and integrating digital systems tailored for various components of the value chain, including restaurants, hotels, and tour operators.

The beneficiaries of this initiative, totaling more than 25 projects locally, reaped the benefits of a customized approach to digital transformation. The support not only addressed the immediate digital needs of SMEs, established businesses, unions, associations, and startups but also contributed to the broader tourism and digitization spectrum.

By bridging the gap between technology and the tourism industry, this initiative has played a pivotal role in empowering businesses to thrive in an increasingly digital landscape. The strategic guidance and practical implementations provided have not only enhanced operational efficiency but have also positioned these entities to capitalize on the opportunities presented by the digital age. The “EJTDP Digitalization Support” project stands as a testament to the transformative impact that targeted digitalization efforts can have on the sustainability and growth of businesses within the tourism sector.
